North Jones Animal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care for dogs and cats.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing top-notch veterinary services. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technology, allowing us to offer a wide range of services, including radiology, in-house diagnostics, dentistry, boarding, intensive care, microchipping, surgery, and therapeutic laser treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including animal restraint, triage, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, and management of hospitalized cases
  • Administer medications, communicate effectively with clients, and provide surgical preparation and assistance
  • Maintain accurate records, interpret medical data, and ensure proper laboratory sample processing

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician
  • High work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and exposure to bites, scratches, and potentially contagious diseases
  • Proficient in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $72,500 - $82,500 per year, comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, liability insurance, 401(k) matching program, life and supplemental insurance, HSA, and FSA.
