{"POSITION SUMMARY": "As a skilled MDS Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of nursing practice and objectives related to the Minimum Data Set requirements and established policies and procedures of Senior Living Communities. Your expertise will ensure optimal reimbursement, proper documentation, and diagnoses to justify skilled services and reimbursement requests.

","ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS": "\u2022 Coordinates and manages clinical staff and therapy for proper documentation and care, ensuring optimal reimbursement.
\u2022 Researches all pertinent medical information and diagnoses for optimal reimbursement.
\u2022 Meets regulations for timely certifications and re-certifications, and signing of all orders.
\u2022 Collaborates with Managed Care organizations to ensure compliance.
\u2022 Participates in daily meetings with therapy and line staff to discuss progress of skilled residents.
\u2022 Monitors nursing skilled documentation and provides continued education as needed.
\u2022 Develops and implements the resident assessment process, following Minimum Data Set requirements and Senior Living Communities policies and procedures.
\u2022 Oversees and schedules resident care planning meetings.
\u2022 Assists on the floor as needed.
\u2022 Participates in and attends all required in-service training and education sessions.
\u2022 Performs other duties as assigned.

","EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS": "\u2022 Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
\u2022 Training in Medical Records regulations is desired.
\u2022 Understanding of diagnosis coding and working knowledge of prescription drugs, therapy practices, and bio-psycho-social sciences.
\u2022 Remains in good standing with all standards of the Nurse Practice Act.
\u2022 Two years of experience in a similar healthcare position is preferred.
