About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at US Foods. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units
  • Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a heavy duty diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and service documentation
  • CDL A and DOT certification preferred
