Job Overview

Dynamic Service Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Youth Care Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to youth care workers, ensuring the highest level of care and support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and monitor the activities and tasks of youth care workers.
  2. Review and approve timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Develop and implement evaluations for youth care workers, ensuring fair and consistent assessment.
  4. Provide direct supervision and support to children in care, maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.
  5. Oversee daily activities, including recreation, mealtime, and relaxation periods.
  6. Engage with children through play and recreational activities, promoting social and emotional development.
  7. Provide training and guidance to new employees, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  8. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards children, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  9. Ensure the overall safety, accountability, and security of the facility, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  10. Teach and coach children in activities of daily living, including morning and bedtime routines, hygiene, and housekeeping.
  11. Recognize and respond to escalating behaviors, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.
  12. Transport children to appointments, court, and other activities as required.
  13. Collaborate with program administrators to ensure seamless communication and coordination between teams.
  14. Follow individual treatment plans for each child, ensuring tailored support and care.
  15. Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community agencies, promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.
  16. Develop and maintain emotional intelligence, promoting self-care and a positive role model for children and staff.
  17. Embody a culture of diversity and inclusion, recognizing the value of diverse perspectives and experiences.
  18. Ensure program operations and activities adhere to all relevant laws and policies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 21 years old or older.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • College degree in Human Services preferred.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • 1 year of previous work or volunteer experience with juveniles.
  • Previous experience working under ORR or HHS programs.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) - speak, read, and write.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed mostly in an office setting, with occasional overnight travel, public speaking, evening, and weekend work required. Regular computer work is also necessary. The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, and perform other physical tasks as required.
