Job Summary

Dynamic Service Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Youth Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring youth care workers, providing direct care to children in our care, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and monitor the activities and tasks of youth care workers, ensuring they are meeting the needs of our clients.
  2. Review and approve timesheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  3. Develop and implement evaluations for youth care workers, providing constructive feedback and coaching for growth and development.
  4. Provide direct supervision of children in our care, maintaining a line of sight at all times and ensuring their safety and well-being.
  5. Oversee the overall safety, accountability, and security of our facility, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for our clients.
  6. Teach, coach, and supervise students in activities of daily living, including morning, bedtime, and overnight procedures, hygiene, and cleanliness.
  7. Recognize and intervene in escalating behaviors, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and staff.
  8. Transport students to court, home passes, and appointments as necessary, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  9. Collaborate with program administrators to develop and implement unit programming, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  10. Follow individual treatment plans for all clients, ensuring personalized and effective care.
  11. Communicate effectively across departments and programs, ensuring consistency of expectations and effective collaboration.
  12. Maintain effective working relationships with families, children, youth, colleagues, consultants, and community agencies.
  13. Develop and maintain emotional intelligence, serving as a role model for youth, staff, and families in trauma-informed practices.
  14. Demonstrate an understanding of cultural diversity, developing systems and practices that are inclusive and responsive to the needs of our client population.
  15. Assist in ensuring program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 21 years old or older
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid, active driver's license
  • College degree in Human Services field preferred
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • 1 year of previous work/volunteer experience with juveniles
  • Previous experience working under ORR or HHS programs
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) - speak, read, and write
Working Conditions

Work is performed mostly in an office setting, with some overnight travel, public speaking, evening, and weekend work required. Regular computer work is also necessary. The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
