Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver transformational leadership and strategic direction to realize the EHS vision through strong management commitment and employee engagement.
  • Design and implement facility-specific EHS programs aligned with corporate EHS objectives.
  • Prepare and submit environmental permits and EHS compliance reports.
  • Promote a culture where employees are informed and empowered regarding EHS matters.
  • Develop risk assessment methodologies to proactively identify and evaluate potential hazards.
  • Enhance awareness of critical hazards to minimize at-risk behaviors.
  • Establish a robust change management process.
  • Collaborate with facility management to set and achieve EHS goals and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of training programs tailored to plant requirements.
  • Conduct regular management reviews and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Encourage a collaborative EHS environment involving all employees and external stakeholders.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of four years of leadership experience in Environmental, Health and Safety within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience in EHS leadership in a manufacturing context.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or Biological Science.
  • Experience with environmental permitting and compliance reporting.
  • Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Background in the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Knowledge in Hazardous Energy Control and Safety Management.
