Quality Control Associate

First Tek is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling and testing products to meet customer quality and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and test products to meet customer quality and delivery schedules
- Perform lockwiring, first stage subassembly, and final detailing functions on routine assignments
- Contribute to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs
- Record test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters
- Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives
- Produce and inspect assemblies that conform to product specifications
- Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials
- Participate in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement
- Maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least two or more years of manufacturing experience, including assembly
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions
- Ability to calculate basic shop math
- Ability to use a computer
- Valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage
