About the Role

Skin Solutions Dermatology is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dermatologic surgeon in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Meticulously document patient charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist with biopsies and surgery procedures, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform self-directed nursing procedures, including suture removal, anesthetizing surgical sites, and dressing changes.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication, pre-operative and post-operative directions.
  • Process tissue for microscopic review, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Ensure the maintenance of lab equipment, scheduling repairs as needed, and adhering to CLIA regulations.
  • Perform other medical assisting duties as assigned by the surgeon or management.
Requirements
  • Certified CMA (Preferred) or LPN (Preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and empathy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Work Environment

Skin Solutions Dermatology operates in multiple locations, including Nashville, Hendersonville, and Clarksville. As a Surgical Assistant, you will be required to work in these locations, with no remote work options available.
