Position Overview:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to become an integral part of our team. In this capacity, you will be responsible for integrating various engineering disciplines, project scope, budget management, scheduling, procurement, construction, and start-up activities for small-scale projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the engineering scope of work, establish schedules, and create budgets for assigned project components while monitoring progress to ensure adherence to timelines and financial constraints.
  • Identify and document any changes in project scope.
  • Assist in outlining procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project acquisitions, ensuring progress aligns with procurement goals.
  • Collaborate with procurement and subcontracting teams to streamline the bidding process.
  • Coordinate the engagement of interdisciplinary technical personnel with other Project Engineers.
  • Oversee the assignment of personnel from various technical support divisions within the organization.
  • Support the Project Manager or Design Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and managing the execution of technical, financial, and administrative project functions.
  • Assist in determining the necessary technical skills and staff hours required for the successful completion of projects.
  • Ensure that client requirements and project scope are met across all engineering disciplines.
  • Facilitate the distribution of action items following discussions or meetings with clients, Project Managers, or Design Managers.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and project management.
  • Gather, analyze, and disseminate technical and contractual information to relevant project disciplines.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by the position.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the potential to lead, exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate familiarity with industry standards and regulations. A thorough understanding of current technologies and the ability to select and apply suitable engineering software for project use is essential.

Knowledge of project execution responsibilities and their implications is crucial, along with an understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). A Professional Engineer registration is required.


Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience or a comprehensive general engineering background. Professional Engineer registration is mandatory.


Clearance Requirements:

No specific clearance is required for this position.
