We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our team at STO Building Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in all phases of a project, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation and leadership skills, with a solid understanding of accounting, financial statements, job cost, and cash flow. A 4-year degree in a construction-related major and 2 years of project engineering experience are required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to launch a long-term career in construction. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000, with a target bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the submittal process
  • Manage the RFI process
  • Manage the change order proposal process
  • Provide research, backup support, legwork, data entry, and other tasks as requested by the Project Manager and Superintendent
  • Complete budget revisions and modifications in Viewpoint as required throughout the job
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of safety in alignment with STO Building Group's core values
  • Combine knowledge of engineering methods, construction methods, and human management skills to provide support for planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects to meet deadlines
  • Offer support to the estimating department by soliciting subcontractors for projects and managing and distributing plans
  • Be the main point of contact for subcontractors as requested by the Project Manager
  • If needed, act as a Project Manager when a Project Manager is unavailable
Requirements
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills
  • Understanding of accounting, financial statements, job cost, and cash flow
  • 4-year degree in a construction-related major
  • 2 years of project engineering experience
  • Ability to pass a drug test
