Position Summary:
  • The irrigation supervisor oversees the setup, upkeep, and repair of irrigation systems while managing team members, projects, and resources.
  • The ideal candidate will coordinate job activities and materials, and will be capable of preparing estimates and proposals for prospective work.
  • We provide all necessary tools and equipment for the role.
  • The irrigation supervisor can expect an annual salary between $50,000 and $60,000.

Requirements for the Role:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Relevant experience and references.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
  • Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screenings.

Qualifications (Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Irrigation Supervisor position):
  • At least 3 years of experience as an irrigation technician.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within irrigation.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the agricultural industry.
  • Proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with irrigation systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and utilize a wire tracker.
  • Conduct wet checks to ensure irrigation systems and various zones are operational.
  • Install, repair, and replace valves, pumps, timers, solenoids, pressure switches, main lines, laterals, sleeves, controllers, and rain sensors.
  • Manage the installation and maintenance of controllers, timers, and rain sensors.
  • Delegate tasks, oversee irrigation projects, and supervise crew members to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations among all crew members.
  • Possess knowledge of South Florida landscaping and the water requirements of plant materials, as well as the ability to identify stressed landscapes due to water deficiencies.
  • Physical abilities required include crouching, manual dexterity, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
  • Inspect properties and generate reports to communicate service needs effectively, as well as create estimates and sell irrigation services.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and maintain a professional demeanor.
