- Prepare patients for their appointments by completing the Advanced Standard room process, which includes documenting the chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and performing thorough medication reconciliation.
- Assist with in-office testing as required, including blood draws, mental status examinations, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer vaccines and other injections within the scope of practice.
- Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office policy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate the delivery of care plans.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting.
Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: Active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA, EMT, or Paramedic also accepted). BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
LPN Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing required.
Licensure: Active LPN licensure required.
Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting.
