Key Responsibilities:

The Territory Application Specialist plays a vital role in delivering application engineering assistance and overseeing customer interactions related to Sales Orders. This encompasses reviewing specifications, preparing quotes, entering orders, providing project updates, and facilitating project approvals. The primary objectives of this position are to enhance customer satisfaction and bolster the Sales team's efforts towards revenue enhancement. This role collaborates closely with the Regional Sales Manager and Sales Director to monitor regional goals and objectives (including CRM opportunity management, on-time delivery metrics, speed to quote, win/loss ratios, etc.).

  • Quotation Management - Delivers prompt and precise quotations and bid proposals to clients. Collaborates with Sales and Engineering teams to determine suitable equipment selections. Manages the quotation pipeline and maintains follow-up communications with clients to drive sales.
  • Specification Analysis – Conducts thorough reviews of Engineering Specifications related to Aerzen's scope of supply, offering recommendations and insights to optimally position Aerzen in sales opportunities.
  • Vendor Equipment Requests – Utilizes customer specifications and datasheets to obtain pricing and scope proposals from third-party vendors. Engages directly with vendors to ensure adherence to specifications and budgetary constraints.
  • Order Processing – Verifies the accuracy of customer data, order details, and alignment with quotations. Inputs orders into the ERP system and collaborates with internal partners to ensure precision for complex orders.
  • Order Verification – Directly interacts with clients to confirm receipt of orders and communicate estimated lead times for Aerzen deliverables.
  • Submittal Coordination – Engages with clients regarding project submittals and drawings for Aerzen standard equipment post-order confirmation. For intricate, non-standard projects, collaborates with Aerzen Project Management in submittal preparation and communication.
  • Order Oversight – Responsible for monitoring milestone dates related to sales orders. Manages communication between internal and external clients to ensure clarity and accuracy. Tracks on-time delivery to guarantee customer satisfaction and minimize disruptions to production schedules. Collaborates with the Aerzen Project Manager, as needed, to ensure projects align with customer timelines and expectations.
  • Invoicing Management – Ensures all milestone invoices are dispatched to clients. Works with the Accounts Receivable team to promote timely payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Startup Coordination - Collaborates with clients to ensure all parties are prepared for the startup requirements of new systems. Responsible for overseeing the project through customer sign-off. Ensures a seamless transition to the Aftersales team.
  • Quality Assurance and Warranty – Addresses customer-related concerns prior to project sign-off. Works with clients to confirm the accuracy and details of complaints, as necessary, and engages with the Project Manager, Aftersales, and Quality teams to develop solutions and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCP).
  • Client Engagement – Will travel with Regional Sales Managers to client locations to build relationships, discuss projects, and support external sales initiatives.
  • Lead Development- Identifies sales leads/opportunities while interacting with clients and collaborates closely with the Regional Sales Managers to effectively recognize and pursue opportunities.
  • Lead Tracking- Works in tandem with the Regional Service Managers and Sales team to monitor and update opportunities within Salesforce. Provides timely follow-up on open actions and opportunities.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) or equivalent work experience.

Field of Study: Technical or Business-related, Engineering degree preferred.

Experience: Entry Level to 3 years of relevant customer support experience.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows 10, Microsoft Office; experience with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce and Business Central/Navision) is advantageous.
