Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, promoting a positive and supportive environment.

  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, providing concierge service to patients and families.
  • Assemble and maintain patient medical records, and perform unit clerical functions.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in patient conditions to the registered nurse, including vital signs, weights, and other relevant information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • One year of recent, full-time patient care experience and/or customer service-related role.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic clinical mathematics and demonstrate proficiency in applied mathematics and reading comprehension at an 8th grade level.
Working Conditions

This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. The ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple assignments, and respond to numerous requests is essential. The role also requires the ability to resolve conflicts, work collaboratively with department directors, physicians, and other healthcare team members, and ensure operational efficiency.
