With operations spanning more than 70 treatment centers across various states, our dedicated team is involved in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and comprehensive care management for individuals living with OUD. We emphasize treating the entire individual, addressing the root causes of OUD, and providing a continuum of care that not only meets treatment needs but also supports patients on their recovery journey.

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Medical Director for medical-related matters and the Program Director for administrative responsibilities, the RN Supervisor plays a crucial role in promoting and restoring patients' health. This position collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members while providing essential support to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and provide direct supervision to nursing staff, including RNs and LPNs, ensuring continuity and effective communication among nursing teams and clinical pharmacy staff. Manage recruitment, payroll, and performance evaluations for all supervised staff.
  • Administer or supervise the administration of medications as directed by the Medical Director, ensuring accurate documentation of all dosages administered.
  • Maintain precise daily accounting of medications supplied to patients and stored securely in inventory.
  • Implement and oversee infection-control policies, medication storage procedures, and compliance with controlled substance regulations.
  • Track all medical paperwork related to patient dose changes, lab results, and physician orders while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Manage orders for medication supplies and ensure adequate scheduling coverage for order placements.
  • Promote quality patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and making necessary adjustments based on health outcomes.
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with policies, including staffing protocols and documentation of take-home medications.
  • Utilize best practices for documenting patient care services, ensuring the integrity of all medical charting.
  • Conduct tests ordered by physicians, including lab tests and vital sign assessments.
  • Schedule and screen patients for appointments with the Medical Director, assisting as needed.
  • Actively participate in Treatment Team meetings and contribute positively to the program and company.
  • Oversee the collection of fees for medications and ancillary services, maintaining accurate records and reporting variances.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to procedures and regulations.
  • Review patient medication records weekly for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor the Prescription Monitoring Program in accordance with company policy and state mandates.
  • Provide essential medical information to patients and staff as needed.
  • Conduct weekly supervision sessions with nursing staff.
  • Coordinate care with external physicians to ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Report any concerns to the Program Director promptly.
  • Provide training and continuing education opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Monitor pharmacy reports for trends and be available for on-call consultations regarding patient evaluations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises the lead nurse and other nursing staff within the center.

Essential Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.

Required Knowledge: Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, and professional nursing principles. Ability to perform assessments and nursing functions as acquired through basic nursing education.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive professional nursing experience, with prior nursing experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities: Proficient in professional nursing theory application, medication knowledge, and infection control practices. Ability to organize work, document activities, maintain records, and build effective relationships with patients and staff.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Ability to operate in a moderately noisy open work area and travel up to 10% as needed.
