About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at the YMCA of South Florida. As a key member of our Youth Development Team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategic interventions for participants with unique behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand individual behavioral challenges, strengths, and needs.
  • Develop customized behavior intervention plans tailored to each participant's specific requirements and accommodations (504/ IEP Plans).
  • Observe environments, staff, and students to identify the need for intervention strategy development and ensure strategies are up-to-date.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of intervention plans, assessments, and progress reports for each participant.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, special education).
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or similar credential is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing behavior intervention strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Benefits and Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
