Position Summary

The Marketing and Communications Intern will play a vital role in supporting a diverse range of cross-functional communication initiatives, which encompass marketing strategies, media relations, design projects, advocacy efforts, event coordination, and social media planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute significantly to the planning, content creation, and management of Girls Inc.'s social media platforms, including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Assist in crafting various written materials such as website content, email marketing campaigns, press releases, media lists, fact sheets, and internal memos.
  • Stay informed on current events and issues that affect girls and young women, as well as the mission and initiatives of Girls Inc.
  • Support the organization and execution of fundraising events.
  • Assist with requests from the Affiliate Network and corporate partners as needed.
Work Schedule
  • Hybrid schedule with two days in the office.
Compensation and Application Process
  • Stipend and college credit opportunities available.
  • Full-time interns (35 hours/week) will receive a stipend of $1500, while part-time interns will receive $750.
  • Interested candidates should submit a cover letter (indicating availability for full-time or part-time), a resume, and two creative samples (which may include social media content, writing samples, or other marketing materials).

Qualifications
  • Exceptional writing skills for various communication channels and platforms.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Experience with Canva is a plus.
