Join Our Team as a Communications and Networking Engineer

As a Communications and Networking Engineer, you'll play a critical role in creating and fielding adaptive communications and networking infrastructure to support our nation's security and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your expertise in wireless communications, RF/analog hardware, antenna systems, RF propagation, or other related technical disciplines to support various projects and sponsor needs.
  • Analyze advanced networking concepts and address networking challenges to support a variety of projects and sponsor needs.
  • Use laboratory instrumentation to characterize the performance of commercial and military communications systems.
  • Analyze RF system performance using various modeling and/or testing techniques.
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or similar field with less than 1 year of related experience.
  • Ability to possess/maintain a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Interest in wireless communications, RF/analog hardware, antenna design, digital signal processing (DSP), networking, or other related technical disciplines.
  • Experience using laboratory instrumentation in an academic or commercial environment.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively work in multi-disciplinary teams across organizations.
  • Experience with software development methods and object-oriented programming, including experience in a modern programming language (C/C++, Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Understanding of networks and fundamental layer 3 and 4 protocols (e.g., IP, TCP, UDP, etc.).
  • Experience using software tools like Docker and Git.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with software defined radios (SDR) and DSP.
  • Experience with designing, testing, and/or prototyping RF and communications equipment.
