Job Summary:

Kleinfelder is seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Group Lead to join our team in the Georgia/Carolinas Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of staff performing wetland and other natural resources surveys, environmental permitting, and natural resources planning activities for a variety of projects primarily for our mining, energy, and oil & gas clients.
  • Grow the environmental permitting business, develop and implement business strategies, and engage with clients to deliver value and generate additional opportunities.
  • Manage and deliver projects, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on permitting and planning.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong business development and client engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • BS in Environmental, Biological, Ecological Science, Environmental Policy, or related field; MS in a relevant subject area a plus.
