Position Overview:

Our regional firm is in search of a highly driven and experienced Tax Senior to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in taxation, including federal and state tax, as well as public accounting. In this role, you will oversee a team of tax associates and provide expert tax guidance to our clientele. This is a permanent position with ample opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor a team of tax associates, offering guidance and support as necessary
  • Review and prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide expert tax advice and address any inquiries
  • Assist in tax planning and strategy formulation to minimize clients' tax liabilities
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure seamless service delivery to clients

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting, focusing on taxation
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of tax associates
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software
