About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team at Hamilton Mayer International. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership in the Florida Area, driving growth across the region, and taking a lead role in Lump Sum and design-build bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all estimating functions during preconstruction, including value engineering, alternative and comparative studies.
  • Help drive growth across the Florida region.
  • Take lead role in Lump Sum and design-build bids, with a focus on winning work in healthcare and higher education markets.
  • Use relevant estimating software, requiring advanced analytical processes to ensure logically estimated costs are accurate.
  • Derive systems quantities for Building Information Models (BIM) and other estimating software to provide complete estimates.
  • Present estimates and participate in bid reviews, overseeing a team of estimators for large, complex projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is essential.
  • 10+ years of experience/knowledge of construction estimating.
  • Vast background in project estimating, with values circa $100m.
  • Familiarity with hard-bid, design build, and alternative delivery estimates.
  • Full proficiency in estimating software such as WinEst, OST, SmartBid, Excel, and Word.
