Key Responsibilities

  • Interconnection Planning and Strategy
    • Develop and implement interconnection strategies for our clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize interconnection opportunities.
  • Transmission Planning and Analysis
    • Conduct transmission planning and analysis to ensure efficient and reliable transmission of power.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with transmission providers and other stakeholders.
  • Market Knowledge and Expertise
    • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments in the energy sector, particularly in the areas of solar and battery energy storage interconnections.
    • Apply knowledge of RTO and utility tariffs, business practices, protocols, procedures, and guidelines to inform interconnection strategies.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Communicate complex technical and financial information to stakeholders, including project sponsors, investors, and regulatory bodies.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including transmission providers, RTOs, and utilities.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience and expertise in generation interconnection and transmission planning.
    • PE is preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Firm understanding of AC/DC fundamentals, including three-phase power systems.
    • Experience with power system software packages, such as PSS/e, TARA, and Aspen One-Liner.
    • Power flow modeling and analysis experience.
    • Familiarity with RTO and utility tariffs, business practices, protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
