As a Team Assistant, you will apply your organizational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills to support an account management team, all while gaining insights into the complexities of the commercial insurance industry. Please note that this role is not sales-oriented and does not involve cold-calling or sales targets. This primarily administrative position is tailored for individuals with a career-focused mindset, a desire to learn about commercial insurance, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients across various sectors.

Key Qualifications: A four-year college degree is strongly preferred. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrate the ability to learn an Agency Management System (Nexsure). A proven track record of managing multiple tasks effectively, both independently and collaboratively, is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interactions with carriers, clients, and colleagues. Candidates must be comfortable using Excel and interpreting financial data. Attention to detail and a professional demeanor are required for managing client-related tasks and routine administrative duties. A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development is essential, with the goal of advancing to an Account Representative position and eventually into Account Management. The agency will facilitate obtaining an Illinois Insurance License, which is a requirement for this role.

Primary Responsibilities: You will be responsible for establishing marketing files in advance of renewals, assisting with the completion of insurance applications for commercial clients, and reviewing policies and contracts. Administrative duties will include preparing mailings, maintaining files, photocopying, scanning, and faxing, as well as participating in team meetings and calls to enhance your understanding of insurance products, coverages, risk management, and the specific needs of commercial clients.
