Boston Children\u2019s Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Specialist II to join our team in Rapid Diagnostic Testing. This role is responsible for performing specialized procedures, training and teaching laboratory personnel, and contributing to the continuing education program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform specialized procedures unique to laboratory\u2019s discipline
  • Train and teach laboratory personnel and others
  • Contribute to the continuing education program
  • Observe, guide, verify, and check documentation of less experienced lab personnel
  • May act as lead in absence of supervisor/manager
  • May prepare schedule or draft procedures
  • Perform special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree in Medical Technology or Medical Lab Science + 2 years clinical laboratory experience
  • OR Bachelor\u2019s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Lab science or related science
  • OR Associate\u2019s Degree Medical Laboratory Technician with 3 years of experience including 1 year at BCH
  • National certification preferred
  • Certification required for related science degreed individuals
