Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team at FPI Management, responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs to flooring, drywall, and appliances, as well as troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct on-call and after-hours emergency services, responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform unit turnovers, including maintenance inspections and repairs, to ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
  • Maintain and repair equipment and systems, including pool maintenance, boiler systems, and appliance repair.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in residential property management.
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and current motor vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and internet use.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Rehabilitation and renovation experience.
  • Pool maintenance and repair experience.
  • Plumbing repair and installation experience.
  • Painting and drywall installation experience.
  • Landscape and grounds maintenance experience.
  • HVAC maintenance and repair experience.
  • Electrical repair and installation experience.
  • Carpentry and construction experience.
