Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough participant assessments and document identification of WIC risk codes.
  • Prescribe and tailor standard food packages for participants' medical and nutritional needs and preferences.
  • Deliver and document nutrition education, including breastfeeding promotion and support.
  • Provide and document referrals to participants, including follow-up referrals.
  • Verify identification and residency of applicants/participants and verify income eligibility.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field with nutrition education credits.
  • 1-3 years' experience in nutrition or a related field.
  • Ability to perform operations with units involved in measuring and weighing.
  • Deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
