Position Overview

The Financial Tax Specialist role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of U.S.

property tax regulations; business licensing; month-end closing procedures; and reconciliation processes. Strong organizational capabilities, effective communication, and teamwork are essential for success in this position.


Key Responsibilities

- Develop and prepare property tax documentation, submit property tax filings, and ensure timely payments on tax obligations.

- Oversee property value notifications and assess changes in property valuations for accuracy.

- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly state fuel tax filings.

- Renew business licenses in various jurisdictions where the company operates.

- Conduct month-end financial closing activities, including the reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts.

- Assist in managing property tax audits and responding to inquiries related to property taxation.

- Effectively manage multiple projects and tasks while fulfilling regular responsibilities, demonstrating independence and teamwork.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA certification is preferred.



Language Proficiency

Ability to read and interpret tax-related documents and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of engaging effectively with customers and colleagues.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic forms. Capacity to adapt to changes, think strategically, deliver results, and engage with others effectively.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
