At Lakin Tire West, LLC., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import-Export Logistics Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of import, export, and scrap disposal operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety: Meet all safety protocols and directions, including completing scheduled OSHA and Company safety meetings and training, participating in Safety Inspections, and ensuring all workers have and wear proper Protective Equipment.
- Supervision: Evaluate staffing to ensure adequate levels are maintained, participate in every stage of the interview process, train and coach route teams, and ensure accurate tracking of employee and temporary worker attendance.
- Operations: Prepare corrective action and coaching as deemed necessary, maintain daily and continuous contact with drivers, direct workflow, and manage efficiency, tablet issues, manifests, and hours of service logs.
- A high school diploma or general education (GED) equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in transportation, routing, DOT maintenance understanding.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, California Commercial Vehicle regulations, and Logistics software.
- Driver/fleet management skills preferred.
- Knowledge of import/export operations including drayage and booking coordination.
- Experience in managing bookings and customs processes, focusing on efficiency strategies, reviewing route metrics, and optimizing operations to reduce costs and improve output.
- Requires manual dexterity and hearing/visual acuity sufficient to effectively perform the duties inherent to the position.
- Sedentary with intermittent walking and standing and occasional squatting, kneeling, climbing, and/or bending.
- Occasional light to medium lifting and carrying (from one to 25 pounds).
Salary Offered: $95-$105k annual salary with a bonus plan.
