Overview:
This role is crucial in supervising and guaranteeing the precision and promptness of the financial and accounting outputs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review and preparation of financial statements for funds, properties, and operations.
- Calculate management fees and performance incentives.
- Prepare capital call requests and distribution notifications.
- Monitor and forecast cash requirements.
- Oversee audits for various entities and investments.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to coordinate tax submissions.
- Investigate developments in tax and accounting regulations.
- Track and assess portfolio investments.
- Review and monitor debt agreements with lenders.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Support the asset valuation process.
- Resolve finance and accounting challenges.
- Handle ad hoc financial requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
Experience Requirements:
- For Associate Level: Minimum of 2 years in private equity, hedge funds, fund administration, or auditing (preferably with alternative investment funds), OR 3+ years in a CPA firm managing full-cycle accounting.
- For Analyst Level: 0-3 years in private equity, hedge funds, fund administration, audit firms, or CPA firms.
- CPA certification is advantageous.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, especially in fund and partnership accounting.
