Job Overview

Turner's Outdoorsman is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager Trainee to join our team. As a Manager Trainee, you will assist the Store Manager in leading the store team, achieving sales goals, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and salesmanship
  • Ensure customers have a full-service and high-value shopping experience
  • Receive and display merchandise accurately
  • Operate the Hunting Department and other store operations
  • Supervise store employees and make daily assignments
  • Release customer firearms
  • Sources, places, and follows up on orders
  • Ensure accuracy in audits, match-ups, and check-ins
  • Supervise paperwork and ensure accuracy
  • Work effectively in teams and with various levels of management and personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including covering employee shifts, breaks, and lunches in other departments as needed
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; college graduate or some college preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Must have sales experience in a leading role
  • Knowledge of Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports preferred
  • Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Customer service experience required
  • Certificate of Eligibility Required
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exudes patience, adaptability, takes initiative
  • Works with integrity, a high level of energy, and has a high tolerance of stress
