Position Summary

We are looking for a Security Program Specialist II to join our team, contributing to our mission of innovative problem-solving through intelligence.
The primary responsibility of the Security Program Specialist is to deliver comprehensive security support across various Special Access Programs (SAPs). This role involves daily multi-disciplinary analysis for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with NISPOM, its Supplement, DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policies.
- Assist in formulating and implementing approved policies and procedures for the protection of Special Access Program (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral data supporting military operations.
- Provide ongoing security support, continuously assessing procedures to identify deficiencies and recommending improvements to security policies, procedures, and systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks related to testing, training, and operational activities.
- Support the development, implementation, and training of the Operations Security program.
- Assist in overseeing contractor and subordinate facility operations.
- Conduct briefings for personnel at all levels, including government and senior civilian services, on various security-related topics.
- Perform and document compliance reviews for SAP facilities, including follow-up reviews and facility close-outs.
- Monitor, report, and track corrective actions stemming from compliance reviews.
- Ensure timely communication of relevant security matters to program technical and management staff.
- Investigate any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and generating damage assessments.
- Collaborate with SAP security personnel to integrate lessons learned into the SAP security education and awareness program.
Clearance Requirements:
- Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph.
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) contributes 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) contributes 5 years of experience.
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is capped at 5 years.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
