About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dietician to join our team at the Shady Knoll Center for Health & Rehabilitation. As a Dietician, you will play a vital role in evaluating the nutritional status of our residents and implementing personalized nutrition care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents to identify their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of individualized nutrition care plans to support the health and well-being of our residents.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist the food service director in managing costs, overseeing food preparation and service, and developing department staffing plans.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional requirements and healthy eating habits.
  • Monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status and make necessary adjustments to care plans.

Requirements
  • Valid state license or license eligibility.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
