Position: Buyer - Greeneville, TN

Role Overview:

• Transform requisitions into Purchase Orders.
• Execute Purchase Orders for designated direct materials and subcontracted operations.
• Oversee vendor and supplier relationships.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving measures.
• Assist in the collection and entry of Supplier metric data as required.
• Coordinate the metal scrap process and manage pickups with contracted scrap dealers.
• Maintain supplier packing list documentation and generate MSOs as needed.
• Carry out individual assignments as directed.
• Foster and maintain effective working relationships within the Department, Group, Company, and community.
• Ensure professional competence, knowledge, and skills are up to date for effective performance of all tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting; relevant coursework and experience may be considered.
• Professional Certification from a recognized organization is preferred.
• Relevant experience and/or training is required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
• Proficient in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and other accounting/purchasing software.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to read, write, and interpret various documents.
• Mathematical skills and reasoning ability are essential.
