Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Kaiser Permanente's policies and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver personalized treatment plans for both adults and children facing communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to discuss diagnostic results and recommend suitable interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Provide expert consultation within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Educate and mentor clinical fellows and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Participate in the creation of departmental policies and treatment protocols.
  • Deliver in-service training sessions on speech therapy techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations and treatment outcomes.
QualificationsExperience:
  • At least one year of clinical experience in dysphagia management.
  • Minimum one year of experience in Speech Pathology.
Education:
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
  • Current California Speech Pathologist license.
  • American Heart Association approved BLS certification.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
Additional Skills
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state regulations in healthcare.
  • Proficient in applying speech therapy theories and practices.
