Kedren Community Health Center Inc is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and urine specimens from patients of all ages for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood and urine specimens from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.
- Enter provider orders into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Label, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
- Participate in the care of psychiatric clients within the limitations of training and experience as a mental health worker.
Requirements:
- Certified Phlebotomist Technician certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least six months of experience as a Phlebotomist Technician, preferred.
- Previous nursing or mental health assistant experience is helpful.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License and proof of personal liability auto insurance.
- Ability to work with adults and children.
- Flexibility to work additional hours and participate in special projects as needed.
