Job Summary

Kedren Community Health Center Inc is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and urine specimens from patients of all ages for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood and urine specimens from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.
  • Enter provider orders into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Label, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Participate in the care of psychiatric clients within the limitations of training and experience as a mental health worker.

Requirements:

  • Certified Phlebotomist Technician certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least six months of experience as a Phlebotomist Technician, preferred.
  • Previous nursing or mental health assistant experience is helpful.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License and proof of personal liability auto insurance.
  • Ability to work with adults and children.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours and participate in special projects as needed.
