Job Summary

The Credit and Collections Representative is responsible for monitoring the collection of amounts due to the organization and collecting on delinquent accounts. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, and resolve all issues related to a client's open receivable due.
  • Work as an advocate to ensure the customer timely settles all past due items.
  • Research, unravel, and propose corrections required to ensure accurate cash application of customer payments.
  • Identify billing errors and work with the appropriate district billing team to ensure the situation is corrected.
  • Effectively collect past due balances within designated assignment area, to help meet company DSO and A/R reduction goals.
  • Conduct all credit reviews and submit credit approval for customers.
  • Ensure proper set-up of new accounts.
  • Contribute recommendations on collection policies to increase effectiveness and efficiency within the department.
  • Ensure all appropriate billing errors are timely corrected through credit memos and invoices re-issued as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform under time constraints and work independently to meet goals.
  • Ability to professionally address high-level management with a firm presence to achieve collection goals while maintaining positive relations.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
