Respiratory Care Specialist

Weekends are required per staffing needs. Our Respiratory Therapist II demonstrates advanced knowledge in respiratory care and assigned patient areas.
The role administers competent patient care through airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, respiratory procedures, and treatments designed to assess, prevent, stabilize, or remedy patients' respiratory dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers standard respiratory care including aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, and arterial punctures. Provides all aspects of airway management.
- May be required to work on-call days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintains and improves job knowledge and skills, functioning independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
- Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures.
Estimated Salary: $27.89 - $40.09 per hour
This position requires weekend shifts and may involve working on-call days and nights.
