Job Title: Director of Career Outcomes

Allegheny College seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Career Outcomes. This role will play a critical part in guiding and developing a career outcomes program that supports the college's mission to prepare students for meaningful lives and careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a career coaching model that involves industry and affinity groups between stakeholders, including students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
  • Lead efforts to install a continuous career communities program consisting of multiple industry and affinity groups, leveraging technology and developing resources and training solutions to facilitate meaningful experiences.
  • Manage the front office to prioritize a sense of belonging for students, customer service, accessible resources, and seamless experiences for students and visitors.
  • Lead special initiatives to maintain and expand experiences that connect students with career community professionals and opportunities to grow in knowledge and skill development.
  • Maximize the use of career services systems to improve efficiencies and overall effectiveness of career communities and departmental efforts.
Requirements:
  • Associate Director: 3-5 years career services or professional experience working with undergraduate students
  • Director: 5+ years career services or professional experience working with undergraduate students
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Track record of achieving exceptional results in the Career Services field
  • Strategic thinking with operational excellence
  • Exceptional ability to influence and build strong relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitation/presentation
