About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Lunar Permanence portfolio, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, testing, and delivering mass-efficient mechanisms that meet mission objectives, satisfy requirements, and comply with intra-vehicle interfaces.


Responsibilities:
  • Designing and analyzing complex mechanical systems for our lunar lander vehicles.
  • Developing technical plans to meet deliverables on an aggressive schedule.
  • Coordinating between vehicles and support organizations to ensure consistent design and analysis practices.
  • Identifying and executing key areas for hardware prototyping and testing.

Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, other) or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing flight hardware products from cradle to grave.
  • Experience in creating statements of work, hardware specifications, and managing subcontracts.
  • Experience in fundamental, hand calculation, structural analysis, and finite element analysis techniques.
  • Experience in metallic materials and mechanical system model creation.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Salary:$167,088.00-$233,923.20 per year based on location and experience.
