The Contract/Grant Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the planning, monitoring, and execution of grant and contract submissions and progress. This position requires a high level of organizational and administrative skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Grant and Contract Management: Provide management in planning and monitoring grant/contract submissions and progress, including budget/fiscal planning and control.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the day-to-day business operations of the grant or contract program, including supervising assigned staff.
- Fiscal Oversight: Responsible for fiscal oversight and management, including negotiating service contracts and purchasing of supplies and equipment for operations activities.
- Financial Planning: Develop and manage the budget, ensuring the fiscal viability of the grant or contract program.
- Grant Submissions: Develop budgets for all grant submissions and assist key program leadership in the preparation of grants.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or closely-related field.
- Experience: 60 months experience in business management, administration, accounting, finance, operations management or closely-related area, with 24 months of the required experience directly related to coordinating/managing sponsored grants or contracts.
- Master's Degree: Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Advanced working knowledge of databases and electronic tools related to funding opportunity dissemination, Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of pre-award grant submission process and federal application requirements.
- Physical Requirements: Sit for prolonged periods, use of a computer, manual dexterity, and communicate effectively and listen.
- Environmental Conditions: Office work environment, stressful environment when meeting deadlines.
