Key Responsibilities:

As a Nutrition Program Manager at the University of Texas at Austin, you will play a critical role in menu and recipe development, ensuring the accuracy and safety of food inventory items and recipes. You will work closely with the purchasing team to incorporate allergen-free sections in C Stores and lead the Grab and Go nutritional labeling efforts. Additionally, you will collaborate with the culinary team to develop resources for nutritional education, adhering to HIPAA, ADA, and FERPA guidelines. You will also partner with the Sustainability team to bring in local farmers and vendors, and develop a student team to participate in nutrition education. Furthermore, you will supervise part-time student staff and dietetic interns, provide support to students with nutritional counseling requirements, and teach students how to navigate the university's websites and on-campus dining. As a liaison, you will foster collaboration with other campus professionals and departments, and work with Dining leadership to highlight the university's nutritional programs. You will also advise on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety, health, labeling, food allergies, and nutrition. Your responsibilities will also include conducting quality assurance audits and Food Safety Audits of food service programs and dining operations.
