We are currently seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with corporate safety protocols.
Encourage teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Manage the sale of commodities to maximize profitability.
Provide adequate training for mechanics and preventative maintenance personnel.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and standards.
Oversee inventory control and equipment maintenance.
Train and guide mechanics in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment.
Assign tasks to mechanics and maintenance shop personnel.
Coordinate transportation of vehicles for external repairs as necessary.
Conduct tests on vehicles to troubleshoot issues and verify repairs.
Prepare purchase orders and seek competitive pricing for parts and repairs.
Respond to emergency road calls for truck repairs.
Maintain regular communication with the Regional Maintenance Manager.
Assist in monthly financial forecasting and annual budgeting.
Ensure departmental expenses remain within budgetary constraints.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in maintenance for trucks or heavy equipment is required, with a preference for candidates with waste industry experience.
Proven ability to train and motivate team members is essential.
Knowledge of air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems is necessary.
A Trade or Technical School Certificate is preferred; a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be able to obtain a CDL certification within 90 days of employment.
Demonstrated proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnostics and repairs is expected.
Compensation:
Salary range: $80,000-$90,000 annually.
Bonus potential: 0-15%.
