Job Summary

We are a leading provider of historic restoration and innovative construction services, seeking a skilled Roofing Mechanic to join our team at J S Wagner Inc.


Key Responsibilities
  • Roofing Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain commercial and residential roofing systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget, mentor less-experienced crew members, and communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, assist in setup and tear down of safety equipment, and complete required safety training.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in all roofing projects, conduct quality inspections to verify that roofing systems meet established standards and specifications.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for roofing tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to your supervisor promptly.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Roofer or Roofing Mechanic, with at least 5 years of relevant experience with commercial roofing applications.
  • Ability and comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Able to handle at least 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Sheet Metal, slate and/or tile experience.
  • First Aid/CPR.
  • OSHA10 or OSHA30.
