Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UF Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures for diagnosis and treatment, utilizing independent judgment and initiative.
  • Operate MRI equipment, ensuring accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and its application in MRI imaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in MRI technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • Prefer experienced MRI Technologists or those with satisfactory completion of an accredited MRI program and advanced MRI certification or registry eligibility.
  • At least one year of experience in Radiology or MRI department, with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy a plus.
  • Candidates without MRI registration may be required to complete the Medical Imaging Consultants (MIC)?MRI Cross-Trainer? dependent on experience.
  • Current BLS certification required.
Working Conditions

Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Prefer ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist. Must pass the ARRT or ARMRIT advanced examination for MRI certification within one year of employment as a MRI Technologist.
