Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Professional Biller/Coder (CPC) to take on a vital role within our organization. The compensation for this position ranges from $15 to $25 per hour, depending on your qualifications and experience. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this role:

  • Managing medical coding for all healthcare operations
  • Ensuring adherence to medical coding standards and regulations
  • Utilizing coding for billable services as necessary
  • Providing coding services across various environments such as Home Health and hospitals
  • Engaging with patients regarding denied claims or procedures
  • Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff
  • Accurately entering charges and coordinating to resolve any missing information
  • Handling a variety of insurance plans
  • Processing payments and following up on outstanding claims
  • Diligently collecting payments
  • Interfacing with the medical office in a professional manner
  • Generating monthly financial reports

Qualifications:

  • Current medical coding certification
  • Understanding of insurance policies and coding regulations
  • Associate's degree in health administration along with RHIT certification
  • Preferably certified as CPC or CCS-P
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in CPT and ICD10 coding, medical terminology, and software applications such as Microsoft Office and E Clinical Works 11
