Job Description

">

This role involves providing direct patient care, education, and support in an outpatient physician practice setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and provide effective treatment.

You will be responsible for:

">
  • ">
  • Maintaining an advanced knowledge base of disease entities, medications, and treatment options specific to the medical specialty">
  • Assessing and evaluating extensive health history, and making changes to predetermined care plans or consulting with physicians as needed">
  • Providing phone triage and handling patient concerns using critical thinking skills and advanced knowledge">
  • Triage current patient population and incoming referrals, prioritizing scheduling of office visits and testing, and working with physicians to determine emergent patients' scheduling">
  • Identifying learning needs of patients and families, and developing educational plans with team members and community resources">
  • Assisting with in-office procedures, providing comfort and safety measures for patients before, during, and after the procedure">
  • Maintaining a safe environment, fostering awareness of safety procedures, protocols, and adherence to patient care standards">
  • Championing the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement projects and policies and procedures specific to the specialty area, mentoring new team members, and participating in environmental rounds to ensure a safe environment">
  • Evaluating own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, state statutes, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, maintaining competency through education and professional activities, reflecting on identified areas of strength that offer opportunities for growth and improvement">
  • Acting as an expert resource for continuing education for team members and hospital staff, coordinating under the direction of the manager/nurse manager">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • ">
  • An Associate degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred">
  • One (1) year of Clinical Nursing Experience within the specialty or related applicable specialty">
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina">
  • Certification in specialty area preferred">
  • IV insertion and maintenance skills preferred">
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams">
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and exceeding patient expectations">
