Radar Cross Section Modeling and Simulation Engineer

At Qualis Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Radar Cross Section (RCS) Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and quality-controlling RCS models, producing RCS signatures, and verifying and validating RCS signatures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain RCS models and simulations to support radar system design and testing.
  • Analyze and interpret RCS data to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RCS models and simulations into larger system designs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support RCS model and simulation development and testing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field and 0 years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of radar systems, RCS phenomenology, and modeling and simulation methods and processes.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, and model end users.
  • Experience with verification and validation of RCS simulation results.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in modeling missile signature representations, including RCS.
  • Ability to run method of moments codes.
  • Experience developing FACET models from CAD.
  • Understanding and experience with High Performance Computing architectures.
