Critical Facility Technician 2 Job Summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Critical Facility Technician 2 to join our team. As a Critical Facility Technician 2, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within our data centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and daily corrective work on equipment to ensure peak efficiency.
  • Respond to emergency situations and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with Onsite Engineering Operations and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in data center operations and critical systems.
  • Document and track maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 6+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Eligible to receive a Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license, or equivalent desired.
Abilities:
  • Lift up to 100 pounds and relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ladders.
  • Perform repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing tasks.
  • Have good vision, color perception, and hearing; ability to communicate in English.
