Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiology Assistant to join our team at UTHealth Houston. As a key member of our audiology department, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and maximizing clinic efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance of hearing aids, earmolds, and cochlear implants.
  • Communicate and coordinate patient care with audiologists.
  • Coordinate packing, mailing, and tracking of hearing aid and earmold orders.
  • Assist audiologists with behavioral testing in the sound booth.
  • Prepare and submit letters of medical necessity for new equipment and upgrades.
  • Provide education to parents, teachers, and other professionals working with children with hearing loss.
  • Prepare exam rooms for testing by performing equipment calibration and ensuring supply inventories are maintained.
  • Coordinate inventory and status of new and repair equipment.
Requirements
  • Current Texas Audiology Assistant License preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related experience, preferably in a hearing care setting.
