Nuclear Medicine Technologist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Imaging team, performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Your primary responsibility will be to use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans, preparing and administering radioactive isotopes and recording dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce images of organs on photographic film.
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address their concerns, providing a positive and supportive experience.
- Monitor, record, and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH) to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist with transporting patients as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Current ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification.
- Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
